First Aid Training -
Basic and Advanced Courses

   
 

These aviation First Aid training courses can be taken at Basic and Advanced levels.

The courses are designed for general aviation and airline industry staff, and can be tailored to your specific requirements.

Each course includes theoretical and practical training using appropriate equipment, including full-size resuscitation manikins.

Each course also includes aviation medicine theory training.

Elements covered in the basic First Aid course include:

  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Automatic External Difibrillator (AED)
  • Bandaging and bleeding control
  • In-flight medical assistance
  • Oxygen administration
  • Pocket face masks
  • Aircraft first aid kits.

Additional elements covered in the advanced First Aid course include:

  • Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training
  • Assisting customers with physical disabilities
  • Physician kits - policy and procedures.

Facilities:

Corcoran Aviation Safety Services will provide a fully qualified trainer, course materials and training aids (e.g. handouts, resuscitation equipment, first aid manikin, bandages etc.).

You will need to provide appropriate classroom space in which theoretical learning can be delivered, and where practical role-playing training can take place.

Qualification/Compliance:

  • Certificate of Qualification on successful completion of the basic or advanced course. CPR qualification is valid for 1 year, First Aid qualification for 3 years (in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines).
